Irides Introduces Affordable Mail and Spam Services from
Exchange and Postini
Irides continues to expand its products and offerings and introduces
Exchange and Postini mail and spam services at competitive prices. In
a year in which Irides has launched new product lines and retooled its
existing products, Irides announced this week a new e-mail messaging
and spam filtering solution available to businesses and individuals on
a per user basis.
The Irides Exchange Service includes all of the popular
features of Microsoft Exchange. Users’ mail
is filtered through patented perimeter technology by
Postini, an industry leader in spam solutions. The
Irides Exchange Service is protected by multiple layers
of security precautions and intrusion detection, and
requires SSL-encrypted client connections. Data is
stored on RAID arrays and is backed up daily with a
network backup service.
Front-line virus protection from Postini allows users
to create white lists and block lists, set sensitivity
levels, view quarantined spam, and manage their preferences
with convenient web interfaces. The Exchange Service
allows users to benefit from functionality including
shared calendars, task lists, and file storage on
1 GB plans.
