The company has received several MBE (Minority Business Entrepreneur) certifications: SBA 8(a), Amtrak, Metropolitan Washington Airports and Transit Authorities, Maryland/District of Columbia Minority Supplier Development Council, and all Washington, DC Metropolitan Area government certifications. The MBE Certification allows firms to participate on State funded contracts.
SRB Productions is also on the GSA/FSS Schedule to provide marketing, media, and public information services. SRB Productions is a signatory of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
The Irides Solution:
Irides came in contact with SRB Productions in February of 2005. SRB Productions was awarded a sub-contract from a prime contractor, Lockheed Martin, for a audio/video streaming requirement for the Housing and Urban Development Agency training project. This projects target audience is HUD Grantees and pass-through entity personnel who manage, supervise, administer or process HUD's Federal grants programs. The training is presented in a classroom setting with HUD Grantees and needed to be archived via Webcast. SRB Productions needed to find a hosting partner with audio/video streaming expertise, and a reliable and secure data center. Their ideal candidate would be a local, technically astute, financially stable company and Irides fit the bill. Irides provided SRB Productions with a custom configured, dedicated solution which included a dual Xeon Windows server with 10 GB of RAM, 584 GB of disk space with RAID 5, running a fully managed Helix Streaming server, all behind a dedicated, fully managed Cisco firewall.
As part of a fully managed solution, Irides provided SRB Productions password protected access to the Irides Account Center giving SRB’s staff the ability to review invoices, real-time bandwidth usage reports, CPU and memory utilization as well as maintenance shift logs reports which provides detailed descriptions of services performed on their server.
